The film “Play for Equality” is in the finals of the international Smiley Charity Film Awards

The Klitschko Foundation film “Play For Equality: How to Make the Dream About Equality Come True” became a finalist of the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2025 in the nomination The Bicester Collection International Impact.
— This year, the response to the competition was incredible, and reaching the final is a testament to the effectiveness of the work of the finalist organizations and the impact of their projects, — the organizers of the award noted.
The winners of all categories will be announced at a ceremony in London on March 20.
The Klitschko Foundation’s competitive work became the only Ukrainian video in the final of the Smiley Charity Film Awards in the nomination The Bicester Collection International Impact, notes the Foundation’s Director Angelina Osadcha:
— We are proud that in these challenging times we can show the whole world how our country is fighting for its future. In particular, how Ukrainian youth is doing it, who already understand that they will build a strong, successful Ukraine. A country of equal opportunities and democratic values.
Through the stories of the participants, the Klitschko Foundation demonstrates in its video how sport helps to overcome barriers and build equal opportunities for all.
The project “Play for Equality” through the interaction of physical education teachers and students destroys stereotypes about women in sports and society in general, encourages children to engage in sports and physical culture. And also provides psychological support to children through sport.
In 2024, 150 physical education teachers from all over Ukraine participated in “Play for Equality”, who involved 26,000 children in their local projects. Also, 7,300 pieces of sports equipment were transferred to schools to expand students’ sports activities.
